Step back in time and experience the excitement of the California Gold Rush at Gold Rush Explorers Camp at Gold Bug Park &Mine! This three-day camp invites young adventurers to explore local history while learning the skills and tools used by real gold miners. Campers will discover what life was like during the Gold Rush through hands-on activities, interactive history lessons, and outdoor exploration. Participants will learn basic mining techniques, try their hand at gold prospecting, and explore the historic mine and surrounding natural environment. Along the way, campers will build simple mining tools, search for minerals, and enjoy guided nature walks through the beautiful park setting.Each day combines learning, adventure, and creativity as campers uncover the stories of the miners who helped shape Placerville and the Sierra foothills.
