Trailblazers Camp (Overnight w/ Swim) - July 27-31
Trailblazers Camp takes place at Reinhardt Redwood Regional Park, in the Oakland Hills, and provides the natural setting for the outdoor fun of hiking, camp skills, nature crafts, cooking, AND CAMPING UNDER THE STARS.NEW for 2026 - This camping experience is for kids who have completed 3rd through 6th grades.Please send your child with a packed lunch on July 27, 28 & 31. Meals will be provided on July 28 (dinner), July 29 (breakfast, lunch, dinner), and July 30 (breakfast, lunch).The overnight will take place the evenings of July 28 and 29. Campers are bussed to and from camp daily, except for Tuesday PM, Wednesday, and Thursday AM. A swimming field trip will take place on Friday.There will be three options for pick-up/drop-off locations in Alameda: Franklin Park, Krusi Park/Otis School, and Washington Park. THE DROP-OFF ON THURSDAY, JULY 30th, WILL ONLY TAKE PLACE AT KRUSI PARK/OTIS SCHOOL!Each camper will get their very own commemorative t-shirt to celebrate our 73rd year of Day Camp! Full payment is required at time of registration. ARPD summer programs will emphasize recreational activities (sports, active games, fitness), enrichment activities (arts & crafts, science, passive and social games, cooking), and youth development (safety, community/team building, positive relationship building, skill building).Pre-registration is required for this program. CANCELLATION-WITHDRAWAL-TRANSFER POLICY: You must cancel or withdraw at least one week before the program starts to receive a credit on your ARPD account, for future use. A $20 service fee will be charged for each class, camp, or program you cancel, withdraw, or transfer from. FOR TRAILBLAZERS CAMP, A $50 SERVICE FEE WILL BE CHARGED IF YOU DECIDE TO WITHDRAW.A week before your camp session, you will be sent a detailed letter with specific instructions on what to bring for the overnight experience, and daily drop-off and pick-up instructions. ⚠️ If this camp is no longer listed at the registration link, registration has closed.
