Member Studio Visit with Claire Oswalt & Moore/Andersson Compound Art in Context Event Series
Advocate Members and above are invited to a very special two-part outing with a visit to Claire Oswalt's studio located on the Moore/Andersson Compound. Beginning with a tour of Claire Oswalt's studio, preview new work and spend time in conversation with the artist about her process, materials, and recent inspirations. Informed by minimalism and abstraction, Oswaltβs expansive paintings and collages reflect on architecture and craft, negotiating the space between artist and artisan. From there, explore the Moore/Andersson Compound , home to the Charles Moore Foundation. Designed and built between 1984β1987 by renowned architect Charles Moore with Arthur Andersson of Andersson/Wise , the compound is widely considered a postmodern masterpiece. This behind-the-scenes visit offers a rare look at the site, including Mooreβs vibrant main residence, additional living and studio spaces, and ongoing interior restoration led by Kevin Keim, director of the foundation. Space is limited. Advance registration is required. Location to be provided upon registration. Members must log in using their Member ID to reserve tickets. Access to this event is reserved for Advocate Members and above.
