Camarillo Community Band Summer Concert Series

July 9th begins the 41st Summer of the Camarillo Community Band’s Thursday Concerts in the Park presented by the Pleasant Valley Recreation and Park District. Concerts will be held on the Thursdays of July 9, 16, 23, and 30 at 7:00 PM in Camarillo’s Constitution Park, at the corner of Carmen Drive and Paseo Camarillo. All concerts are free. The principal conductors of the Thursday Concerts in the Park are: • Bob Hackett , music director at Agoura High School, conducts on July 9. • Zach Borquez , instrumental music teacher at Oak Park High School, conducts on July 16. • Tommy Militello , a music educator in Agoura High School, conducts on July 23. • John McQuilkin , retired music teacher, Quartz Hill High School, conducts on July 30. Bring a lawn chair and picnic dinner, and enjoy a summer evening of toe-tapping music. Listen to the band perform a wide variety of musical favorites. Join the Band The Camarillo Community Band was founded in 1986 by Kirk Raymond to provide a performance opportunity for community musicians as well as a family activity for area residents. The band welcomes new players. Any adult who plays a band instrument may join. The only requirement is to attend the rehearsals prior to a concert.
