A Hands-On Farm Adventure at The Ecology Center Join us this summer for a one-of-a-kind farm experience at The Ecology Center’s Grow-Eat-Make Summer Camp. Designed for children ages 7-12, our immersive camp offers hands-on learning in regenerative farming, farm-to-table cooking, and nature-based creativity. Campers will explore environmental stewardship, teamwork, and the rhythms of farm life—all while having fun in our vibrant children’s garden and food forest. Camp Details Ages: 7-12 years old Days: Monday – Friday Time: 9 AM – 3 PM Lunch: A nutritious, farm-fresh lunch is included each day of the program. Location: The Ecology Center Summer 2026 Sessions: Week 1: June 22 – June 26 Week 2: June 29 – July 3 Week 3: July 6 – July 10 Week 4: July 13 – July 17 Week 5: July 20 – July 24 Week 6: July 27 – July 31 Week 7: August 3 – August 7 Week 8: August 10 – August 14 A Summer of Discovery and Growth Grow-Eat-Make Summer Camp is built around joyful, hands-on experiences, allowing children to explore our working farm, culinary kitchen, and children’s garden in a way that fosters curiosity, confidence, and connection to nature. Each day brings new lessons, adventures, and discoveries. Campers can register for a single week or multiple weeks to deepen their learning and build upon previous experiences. Spaces are limited—sign up today to secure your child’s spot for a summer of growth, exploration, and hands-on farm fun! Camp Activities Chicken Care: Feed the chickens, collect fresh eggs, and learn about the daily rhythms of farm life. Organic Farming: Get hands-on in our Regenerative Organic Certified® Farm, use real farm tools in the Market Garden, and discover the role of seasonal crops. Gardening Fun: Explore composting, harvest seasonal produce, and gather flowers from the garden. Culinary Creations: Pick fresh ingredients and cook delicious farm-to-table meals in our kitchen, sharing meals with fellow campers. Creative Arts & Play: Engage in storytelling, music-making, games, and hands-on crafts that encourage creativity and teamwork. A Tree of Their Own: Every camper will adopt and care for their own small fruit tree throughout the week, learning how to nurture it before taking it home— a friend for life. Our bilingual camps, offered in both Spanish and English, cater to each child’s unique interests and needs, ensuring a personalized and enriching experience. Cancellation Policy: Full refund for withdrawal up to 7 days before the program begins. We are unable to offer makeup classes or refunds for missed sessions. Tickets are not transferrable. Our program is designed to proceed rain or shine, ensuring that participants can make the most of every session. In the event of extreme weather conditions, 24-48 hour advance notice by The Ecology Center will be provided in which case a refund will be issued, only for days deemed unsafe.
