Southlake Junior Writer's Camp with Katie Bragg
The Southlake Junior Writer's Camp is a week-long enrichment program designed to help students grow as confident, creative, and purposeful writers. Led by experienced educator Katie Bragg, the camp blends high-quality writing instruction with engaging, student-centered activities that foster creativity, critical thinking, and effective communication. Throughout the week, students explore multiple genres of writingโincluding short stories, poetry, reviews, arguments, and persuasive writingโwhile learning how authors make intentional choices to engage and influence their readers. Each day is built around a guiding question that encourages students to think deeply about purpose, audience, and craft. Ages 8 - 14. Registration required. Registration Information Due to class size limitations, a Southlake Public Library card is required to register. Southlake residents and CISD students may obtain a library card for free by visiting Southlake Public Library. Participants must be available for the entire one-week period to participate.
