Wreaths Across America Day
The San Marcos City Cemetery is an official Wreaths Across America (WAA) location and will host the annual wreath-laying ceremony the second Saturday in December, joining more than 5,200 other locations across the country. Coordinated and led by city staff and local volunteers, funds are raised throughout the year to sponsor the placement of more than 950 Veteransβ wreaths on the headstones of our fallen service members laid to rest there. This annual event begins at 10am and seeks to further the WAA mission of Remember, Honor, Teach, ensuring that the memory of those who served our country endures.
