WEST VIRGINIA CAMP
West Virginia Summer Camp (Ages 8–12) Get ready for a week of exploration, creativity, and adventure celebrating all things West Virginia! Our West Virginia Summer Camp is designed for youth ages 8–12 and will take place July 27th–31st from 9:00 AM–12:00 PM at Ritter Park Shelter #2. Throughout the week, campers will experience a variety of engaging, hands-on activities that highlight the beauty and culture of our region. Activities will include: Guided hikes along the Ritter Park trails Hands-on experiences with animals brought by WVDNR Education Outreach team. Learning about Appalachian history and modern culture with the West Virginia Mine Wars Museum. Exploring and creating art and music using traditional Appalachian mediums. A day trip to Heritage Farm, including their historic village tour and participation in the low ropes course This program encourages campers to build friendships, learn new skills, and connect with the heritage and environment of West Virginia in a fun and interactive setting. Cost: $100 per participant (Includes camp t-shirt, daily snacks, and field trip admission) Registration Deadline: July 13th Age Requirement: Participants must be at least 8 years old on or before July 27th, 2026. This helps minimize distractions and allows campers to remain fully engaged in activities throughout the program.
