Introduction to Acting for Film, TV, & Media ArtsTIME: 6:15 PM - 7:30 PM DAYS: Mondays & Wednesdays PLACE: Casa De Salud's Recreation RoomStep into the spotlight and discover the magic of cinema! In this new, fun and interactive program, youth will be exploring the art of acting by using filming techniques, camera and microphone operation, scene work, utilizing shot lists, film editing and script reading. Youth will be developing their skills to become an on-screen talent that can be used for broadcasting, streaming and journalism. Students will learn how to develop their very own short film. Guided by experienced instructors, participants will learn how to express themselves with confidence, connect with peers and audiences, and bring stories to life.Students will learn how to be prepared for a filming production and have reels for their acting resume.Youth ages 11 to 17 years old.Designed for beginners but all skill levels are welcomed.Film student's Showcase will be held on Saturday, September 19th at the MLK Community Center Building (North Room). Students are encouraged to invite their friends and family to Casa De Salud's Showcase to watch their showing of their very own short film.Showcase Time: To Be Determined. IMPORTANT RULES:3 consecutive unexcused absences will result in removal from the program without a refund.3 consecutive late pickups result in removal from the program.3 negative behavior logs result in expulsion without a refund.Disrespectful and rude behavior will not be tolerated and may result in expulsion without a refund.Violence towards self, peers, equipment or staff may result in expulsion without a refund.To protect the privacy of youth, cell phones and/or any recording devices cannot be used during class time and must be put away.
