Level 2: Waves - Fundamentals of Aquatic Skills
A class where students learn to build confidence in the water while learning basic propulsive skills on their front and back. In this class students practice coordinated arm and leg movements, flutter and back kicking, rhythmic breathing, floating independently, and safe entry and exit from the pool. Class is designed for children with basic water comfort and introductory skills, typically those who have completed Level 1 or can safely enter the water, float with support, and perform basic arm and leg movements. No advanced skills are required, but participants should be comfortable practicing independently. Must have completed Level 1: Splash, or have equivalent skills.Class Placement is based on age and ability. Repeating sessions is encouraged. Register for new sessions after completing the current session. For specific questions regarding class placement, please email info@ranchotsunami.com or call 951-533-8789.Instructor Credentials & Safety: All Rancho Tsunami Swim Lesson Instructors have completed rigorous training and are certified in Water Safety Instruction, CPR, First Aid, AED, and BLS. Instructors bring experience in competitive water polo, competitive swimming, and coaching at the college, high school, and club levels. For an added layer of safety, a pool lifeguard is on duty during all lessons, and supervised by a vetted pool manager.
