Bastrop Juneteenth Celebration & Parade 2026

Founded in 1986, the Bastrop Juneteenth Celebration is celebrating its 40th anniversary in historic Bastrop, Texas do the delight of the entire family. Enjoy a weekend full of history, culture, reunion, music, food and fun. Friday, June 19, 2026 Bastrop Juneteenth Carnaval Cultural Banquet – 7 p.m. Bastrop Convention & Exhibit Center . This milestone evening will be one to remember as we celebrate the people, history, and moments that have shaped our journey. Event includes Emile School Reunion, reflections on 40 years of Juneteenth in Bastrop, recognition of those who have made a lasting impact over the decades and special awards. Come dressed to celebrate your era. saturday, june 20, 2026 Celebration Parade – 10 a.m. Downtown Bastrop – A vibrant annual event held in Bastrop, Texas, celebrating the emancipation of enslaved African Americans in the United States. Parade runs along historic Bastrop, Texas’ Main Street with floats, marching bands, dance teams, classic cars, and community groups. Event is free to the public. Freedom Festival – immediately after parade. Fisherman’s Park – Festival offers live music, food vendors, games, and family-friendly activities throughout the day at Bastrop’s premiere park along the Colorado River. Street Dance – 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. Downtown Bastrop – An opportunity for the community to come together in celebration in the heart of historic Bastrop. Though you’ll be on your feet to the music, bring your own chairs or blankets for sitting.
