Bastrop’s annual Big Bang! Celebration

Bastrop’s Big Bang! Celebration returns to Fisherman’s Park in Bastrop on Saturday, July 4, 2026, bringing an evening of family fun along the Colorado River from 6 to 9:30 p.m. Attendees are invited to bring lawn chairs, blankets and their patriotic spirit for a community celebration filled with activities, entertainment and a memorable fireworks show. Throughout the evening, families can enjoy live music, bounce houses, water slides and a variety of field games. Children can have their faces painted in festive designs, while those looking for a challenge can test their skills on the Pro Ninja Obstacle Course. Food and refreshments will also be available, making it easy for guests to spend the entire evening at the park. As the sun sets, a spectacular fireworks display synchronized to music will light up the night sky over the Colorado River, creating a memorable ending to Bastrop’s Independence Day celebration.
