HOOKED Fishing Academy’s Summer camp invites youth ages 5–17 to learn real fishing skills at the San Clemente Pier while enjoying the outdoors. Campers practice knot tying, bait selection, reading weather and tides, and identifying local species—all in a safe, secure and supportive environment. With a focus on reducing screen time and building lifelong skillsets, HOOKED Fishing Academy aims to spark a lasting love for fishing, mother nature, and family traditions. After a full week of learning and practicing fishing techniques on the San Clemente Pier, campers wrap up their experience with an exciting 1/2-day ocean fishing boat trip out of Dana Wharf Sportfishing in Dana Point Harbor! This real-deal sportfishing trip gives anglers the chance to apply everything they’ve learned all week while fishing for more species on a boat! Friday Field Trip: (ALL AM/PM CAMP ANGLERS ATTEND) Drop-Off: 6:00 AM SHARP (Boat departs 6:30 AM SHARP) Pick-Up: 11:30 AM SHARP Parents/guardians are solely responsible for timely transportation to and from Dana Wharf Sportfishing. All boating costs and equipment are included in the camp material fee. A $70 materials fee is due to the instructor on first day of camp .
