Teen Camp - Who is Where? (2815.201)

Have a movie idea you can't shake? A scene playing on repeat in your head? This one-week Teen Screenwriting Camp is a fast-paced immersive experience designed to help young writers turn imagination into a script - quickly, confidently, and creatively. Over the course of the week, students dive deep into the fundamentals of screenwriting: developing compelling characters, writing sharp, natural dialogue, and building scenes that work visually and emotionally on screen. Each day focuses on a core element of storytelling, combining short lessons with hands-on writing time, creative challenges, collaborative idea-building, and table reads. This intensive format is designed to keep energy high and momentum strong. Writers brainstorm, draft, revise, and share work in a supportive, teen-friendly environment while learning how real screenplays are structured and why great movies work the way they do. By the end of the week students leave with original scenes - or a short script - a handy, multi-section Teen Screenwriting Guide and a clear understanding of how to keep developing ideas. No prior experience required. Just curiosity, creativity, and a willingness to try. If you've ever wanted to write a movie, this is where it begins.
