Intro to Theater & Acting. TIME: 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM DAYS: Tuesdays & ThursdaysPLACE: Casa De Salud's Recreation RoomStep into the spotlight and discover the magic of theater arts! In this new, fun and interactive program, youth will be exploring the art of acting through creative exercises, expressions, monologues, scene work, stage presence, character development and improvisation. Guided by experienced instructors, participants will learn how to express themselves with confidence, connect with peers and audiences, and bring stories to life.Students will learn how to be prepared to audition for roles.Youth ages 11 to 17 years old.Designed for beginners but all skill levels are welcome.Theater student will perform a scene at the Casa De Salud Showcase which will be held on Saturday, September 19th at the MLK Community Center Building (North Room). Students are encouraged to invite their friends and family.Showcase Time: To Be Determined. IMPORTANT RULES:3 consecutive unexcused absences will result in removal from the program without a refund.3 consecutive late pickups result in removal from the program.3 negative behavior logs result in expulsion without a refund.Disrespectful and rude behavior will not be tolerated and may result in expulsion without a refund.Violence towards self, peers, equipment or staff may result in expulsion without a refund.To protect the privacy of youth, cell phones and/or any recording devices cannot be used during class time and must be put away.
