Child & Babysitting Safety Workshop @ SMCC
If your child has a qualified disability under the Americans with Disabilities Act and requires a reasonable accommodation to participate in the program, or a medical condition that requires accommodation, please email recreation Supervisor Holly Payad at hpayad@sanmarcosca.gov right away.This one-day training course covers child safety and basic care for infants and children. Topics covered include sitter safety, infant and child feeding, diapering procedures, recognizing an emergency, infant/child CPR, and basic first aid for children. Participants receive a digital download of the booklet and a Babysitter Certificate from the American Health & Safety Institute and an Infant/Child CPR Certificate of participation upon completion. Please bring a sack lunch/snack and a water bottle.Age groups vary based on enrollment, leading to a mix of ages and skill levels, creating a dynamic learning experience. Your child could be among the youngest or oldest participants. Be sure to review the age ranges carefully before registering for camps.
