(83578) Otter Summer Session 3: 10:30am-10:55am

OTTER (American Red Cross: Learn to Swim Level 3 - Stroke Development) Prerequisite: Push off and swim using combine arm and leg actions on front for 5 body lengths, roll to back, float for 15 seconds, roll to front, then continue swimming for at least 5 body lengths. Course: Participants learn and practice survival floating and learn to swim front crawl and elementary backstroke at rudimentary proficiency levels. Scissors and dolphin kick are introduced. Participants learn to enter the water head first from a seated position at poolside. New and previously addressed water safety topics are reinforced. Participants who successfully complete Otter have achieved basic water competency in a pool environment. (Student:Instructor Ratio 6:1)
