City of Whittier Junior Theatre Summer Showcase

The City of Whittier Junior Theatre Showcase: Showcase is a foundational theater experience designed for youth to explore all aspects of stage production. Whether you're excited to act, perform a monologue, bring a skit to life, or take on technical roles like lighting, sound, or stage management, this program offers a collaborative, start-to-finish journey into the world of theater. By the end of the program, students will: Grasp fundamental theater terminology and stage directions Utilize voice, body, and facial expressions to bring characters and emotions to life Work together to create stories and scenes through collaboration Rehearse and perform live for an audience Build confidence, empathy, and self-expression through the process Class Dates: Monday and Tuesdays, 5:00 pm -8:00 pm
