Cartoon and Comic Camp (6-11 yrs)

Calling all artists… This exciting drawing camp is taught by professional cartoonist and animator, Robyn Kline. Have a great time sharpening those fine motor skills while learning the basics of drawing, color and design. The first part of our class you will laugh your head off as we draw popular themes together. Each session has different themes. The second part of our morning students will create their own characters. We will reduce, color copy and laminate your creations into trading cards. We will begin each class with warm-up drawing exercises such as how to draw hands, facial expressions, backgrounds etc. Each class will concentrate on a different lesson such as character introduction, story lines, comic covers and lettering. Student will work at an independent pace to incorporate their characters into their own comic book or continue to create character trading cards. Please bring a snack and a drink if you like. There is a $50 material fee for each class paid to the instructor on the first day of class.
